The Award Ceremony and the Exhibition of the Pancyprian Primary School Competition, entitled ‘Christmas Card – Helping Children’ was organized successfully last Sunday 23rd of December at the Municipality of Nicosia. A great number of people attended the ceremony and congratulated the children and their teachers for the wonderful Christmas cards created which convey the Foundation’s aims, vision and mission. The participants had the opportunity to see a collection of Christmas card drawings submitted for the Competition. The Founder of the Yianis Christodoulou Foundation, John Christodoulou awarded three prizes: the 1st prize of €10.000 was given to Paliometoho A’ Primary School, the 2nd prize of €5.000 was given to Makedonitissa C’ Primary School and the 3rd Prize of €2.000 to Geroskipou B’ Primary School.

Οι διευθυντές των τριών σχολείων εξέφρασαν τη χαρά και την ικανοποίησή τους, καθώς και την ευγνωμοσύνη τους προς το Ίδρυμα Γιάννη Χριστοδούλου, ενώ τα μικρά παιδιά παρουσίασαν τις σκέψεις τους κατά τη ζωγραφική των χριστουγεννιάτικων καρτών και τα σχέδιά τους για την αξιοποίηση του βραβείου προς όφελος όλων των παιδιών των σχολείων τους. Κατά τη διάρκεια της τελετής παρουσιάστηκε σε ταινία μικρού μήκους το έργο του Ιδρύματος Γιάννη Χριστοδούλου στην Κύπρο. Το YCF θα ήθελε να ευχαριστήσει τον Δήμο Λευκωσίας και ιδιαίτερα τον Δήμαρχο κ. Κωνσταντίνο Γιωρκάτζη για τη μεγάλη συνεργασία και την υποστήριξή του.
