The lecture by internationally renowned entrepreneur Mr. John Christodoulou was held with great success on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the Cultural Center of European University Cyprus. The event, titled “Coding Entrepreneur’s Mindset” attracted a large audience of students, academics, and professionals who had the opportunity to gain valuable insights and inspiration from Mr. Christodoulou’s extensive business career and philanthropic activities.
John Christodoulou shared his personal journey, from his humble beginnings as an immigrant in London to becoming a leading figure in the real estate sector. He emphasized the importance of hard work, adaptability, and perseverance, highlighting the significance of turning challenges into opportunities.
At the core of his speech was the idea of “coding” an entrepreneurial mindset, one built on innovation, resilience, and flexibility—key traits for success in today’s business world.
As he aptly stated, “If you fall seven times, get back up ten. Take risks, even if you make mistakes—just make sure they’re not too costly. Choose your friends and business partners carefully. Don’t hesitate to remove anything that brings negativity into your life and hinders your goals. First and foremost, respect yourself, have big visions and goals, and most importantly, stay true to your promises.” He also underscored the importance of family, remarking, “Don’t forget the value of family. I have great respect for people who spend more time with their family than with their work.”
Beyond his business achievements, John Christodoulou is deeply committed to humanitarian causes. In 2017, he founded the Yianis Christodoulou Foundation, which supports children’s education and well-being, particularly in Cyprus. His contributions have been recognized by international figures such as King Charles III, Prince William and Prince Albert of Monaco. His life serves as a source of inspiration, reflecting resilience, philanthropy, and a dedication to improving the lives of others, especially children in need.
Mr. Christodoulou concluded by stating that his efforts in Cyprus will continue and intensify, aiming to have a positive impact, particularly in areas such as society, education, youth, sports, and other sectors.
