Foundation Supports Ayios Spyridonas, Apostolos Varnavas & Apostolos Loucas Special Needs Schools

The Yianis Christodoulou Foundation is pleased to have been able to contribute substantially to the renovation of the outdoor area of Ayios Spyridonas Special School in Larnaca. The safety and health of the children is of high importance to our Foundation. Now the children can play safely and enjoy their time in the yard of the school. The renovation of the outdoor area was achieved as the school has won the 1st Prize (€10.000) of the Pancyprian Special School Competition titled HANDSUP4ALL which was organized last year in Cyprus. The prize money was spent on the purchase of outdoor equipment and flooring installation. You can enjoy here the song and the film that won the title ‘I create, I share, I love. This is me!’ with Nefeli Antoniou as the main singer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZ2PfIiDLno The smiles on the children’s faces aswell as your letters give us the strength to continue our work. Our Foundation is so pleased to have been able to support Nicosia Special School with the renovation of the Domestic Room where children with special needs can acquire life skills. We hope the new kitchen and home facilities will empower them and boost their self-confidence and independence. Nicosia Special School won the 3rd Prize (€2.000) of the Special Schools Competition entitled HANDSUP4ALL organized last year in Cyprus. The amount was well spent on the purchase of equipment and furniture. ‘Keeping fit and healthy’ has been part of The Yianis Christodoulou Foundation campaign last year aiming to promote the health and well-being of students. It is a great pleasure for our Foundation to see that Apostolos Varnavas Special Needs Schools in Cyprus has utilized the 2nd Prize of the Pancyprian Special School Competition titled HANDS UP FOR ALL for the purchase of various sports and fitness equipment. The amount of €5000 was worth spending on creating a fitness room for the children. We are very pleased to have been able to support the upgrade of the facilities of the school. Above all we are very proud to have been able to support this particular group of children because all children have the right for high quality education.
