Launching Of The Pancyprian 'Keep Fit And Healthy Through Boxing' Poster Competition
The ‘Yianis Christodoulou Foundation’ announces the launch of a Pancyprian Competition for Secondary and VET Public Schools, entitled ‘Keep fit and healthy through boxing’. The Poster Competition is open to students attending Public Gymnasiums, Lyceums and VET Schools in CYPRUS. Participating Secondary and VET Schools will select and send by email no later than FRIDAY the 15th of FEBRUARY 2019 as many posters with slogan as they want provided that they comply with the regulations of the competition together with their school’s ‘Proposal for utilising the prize’. The main objective of the competition is to create a poster with a slogan / message that promotes the love for sports and especially boxing, the benefits of physical and mental health, the importance of keeping fit, eating healthy and maintaining your well-being. The benefits of self-discipline, respect, team-work and fair play are also promoted through the competition. The posters to be selected will be used as the official posters of the ‘Athletic and Educational Celebration devoted to Boxing’ which will be organized on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd of February 2019 at ‘Spyros Kyprianou Sports Centre’ in Limassol. During the two days event various activities involving a delegation of athletes and coaches from the United Kingdom will be organised. The Award Ceremony of the Poster Competition is planned to be organized on Friday 22nd of February 2019 (morning) together with the Poster Exhibition in which a great number of posters will be exhibited. The Poster Competition has 3 prizes which will be awarded as follows: 1st Prize €10.000 2nd Prize €5.000 3rd Prize €2.000 The prize money may be used by the Yianis Christodoulou Foundation’ based on the approval of the proposal submitted with the school’s posters, and approved by, the relevant bodies (e.g. MOEC, Directorate of Secondary Education, School Board, etc.) to upgrade the facilities and equipment used for Gymnastics and Physical Education in general. It is clarified that the Proposal may be differentiated if appropriate. The Poster Competition is approved by the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture.
