New Music Room At Noah's Ark Children's Hospice

The Yianis Christodoulou Foundation is pleased to announce that it has fully funded the costs of musical instruments for the newly-opened Music Room at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. Noah’s Ark supports children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families across north and central London and has just finished building The Ark, a new specialist children’s hospice building for the area. Music Therapy is an integral part of Noah’s Ark’s care and can have transformative impacts on the everyday lives of seriously unwell children and their families.

Many children supported by Noah’s Ark have profound disabilities and are often not able to communicate verbally. Through Music Therapy, these children are encouraged to develop new and exciting ways to engage and communicate with those around them. Having a dedicated space for Music Therapy in The Ark will present even more opportunities for socialising and musical participation. Notably, it will enable the delivery of regular Group Music Therapy sessions which will provide invaluable occasions for seriously unwell children to socialise and connect with each other in an inspiring and safe environment.
