Results of The Pancyprian Primary School Competition Entitled 'Christmas Card - Helping Children'

The Yianis Christodoulou Foundation would like to congratulate all children and public primary schools in Cyprus that have participated in the Primary School Competition, entitled ‘Christmas Card – Helping Children’. A great number of wonderful Christmas drawings have been submitted indicating the interest and sensitivity of children and their teachers. The three winning schools that will receive the 3 prizes are the following: 1st Prize €10.000:Paliometoxo A’ Primary School – Α’ Δημοτικό Σχολείο Παλιομετόχου 2nd Prize €5.000:Makedonitissa C’ Primary School - Γ’ Δημοτικό Σχολείο Μακεδονίτισσας 3rd Prize €2.000: Geroskipou B’ Primary School – Β΄ Δημοτικό Σχολείο Γεροσκήπου We would like to congratulate the children for their designs and creative ideas: 1st Prize: Paliometoxo A’ Primary School – Α’ Δημοτικό Σχολείο Παλιομετόχου (Μάριος Τσαγγαράς, Αντρέας Αβραάμ, Λουκία Κασάπη, Καρολίνα Ηρακλείδου, Έρικα Βήτα, Άννα Χαραλάμπους, Ιόλη Παναγή, Κυριακή Χριστοφόρου, Ιωάννα Παμπουρή, Αναστασία Χατζηγρηγορίου, Ελεάνα Γιουσελή , Ελένη Αριστοδήμου , Μαρία Δημητρίου , Αγγελική Οριέττα- Γ’ τάξη ) 2nd Prize: Makedonitissa C’ Primary School - Γ’ Δημοτικό Σχολείο Μακεδονίτισσας (Αντιγόνη Γιαννακού –Τάξη Γ2) 3rd Prize: Geroskipou B’ Primary School – Β΄Δημοτικό Σχολείο Γεροσκήπου (Δήμητρα Γεωργίου - Άντρεα Τσαγγαρά Β Τάξη) The prize money will be utilised for the implementation of the project ideas proposed by the winning schools as per the regulations of the competition. Each proposal will be discussed and amended, if necessary, in consultation with all stakeholders, including MOEC, Directorate of Primary Education, School Board, Technical Services of MOEC etc. Taking this opportunity we would like to inform you that the Award Ceremony will be organised on Sunday 23rd of December 2018 at 4:30-5:30 pm at the Municipality of Nicosia (near Plateia Eleftherias).During the Ceremony a Christmas Card Exhibition will also be organised with selected drawings-cards being designed as part of the competition. Earlier on the same day (Sunday 23/12/2018) from 12:00-4:00 p.m. the Yianis Christodoulou Foundation organises a Christmas Toy Swap (Ανταλλαγή Παιχνιδιών – Δίνω και παίρνω χαρά με παιχνίδια). Young children can come at the ‘Santa Clause Workshop’ (Εργαστήρι Αη-Βασίλη – Δημαρχείο Λευκωσίας) to exchange slightly used (but in a good condition) or new toys.
