Top Sporting Stars Deliver Food Parcels To Children In Liverpool & Manchester On Behalf Of The Yianis Christodoulou Foundation

Hometown Liverpool and Manchester sporting legends Tony Bellew, Jamie Carragher and Ricky Hatton MBE along with Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson were on hand to deliver 6,000 food parcels to homeless and vulnerable children charities in Liverpool and Manchester. The donations that took place in Liverpool and Manchester were arranged by The Yianis Christodoulou Foundation, with the effects of Covid-19 on many local families at the forefront of the activity. The Whitechapel Centre Charity received the donation in Liverpool whilst the Barnabus, Just Life, Brydon Court and Women’s DA charities received the donations in Manchester. Founder of The Yianis Christodoulou Foundation, John Christodoulou said: “Mine and The Yianis Christodoulou Foundation’s principles are built on mainly helping children and allowing them to fulfil their potential however, with this current crisis many more need help especially the charities who support families in their local community". “It means a lot to receive support from such respected sports stars, and the staff and volunteers from the charities were delighted to be able to meet them and be personally thanked for their ongoing hard work." "We worked with and listened to the organisations to ensure we were providing them with necessary products. We also worked with key suppliers from the hospitality sector to ensure that we were also giving back to our own industry whilst at the same time supporting another". The Foundation thanks Ricky Hatton MBE, Tony Bellew, Jamie Carragher, Mayor Joe Anderson and of course the wonderful charities for their hard work.
